Heirlooms on Display in Hanover

“Functional Elegance”

The design skills of Renovisions, inc. along with contracting skills of the homeowner and his brother were a good fit to create this elegant yet functional kitchen.

The existing kitchen and dining room space was tight and too small for this homeowner to entertain family and friends and he did not have the room to display his collectables and antique furniture. To dramatically open the space, the kitchen and dining room were combined and additional space was added to the rear of the house. In an effort to make the room more functional without overcrowding it and wasting space, the Renovisions Team created a unique shaped custom radius island to showcase a stunning two-tier contrasting quartz countertops which warmed up the room. The design effectively incorporates deep drawers, a recessed Fisher & Paykel dish drawer, prep sink, pull out trash bin, custom wine rack, and cabinetry to store bar supplies. The Victorian style cherry cabinetry with beaded details was the best choice to tie in with the antique furniture pieces the homeowner wanted to feature. Stunning glass mullion doors were installed along the entire length of the kitchen sink wall which gives an air of openness and reflects the beautiful collectables this homeowner is proud to display.

Undercabinet lighting serves functionality while highlighting the ample counter space making entertaining easy and most important enjoyable. After a long day’s work, this contractor can come home to relax and feel like a king in his newly built castle!
