The owners of this historic 300-year-old farmhouse appreciated its heritage but required an updated bathroom to suit their family’s needs. With two young children, the existing 1960s design was no longer adequate. Renovisions was hired to complete an overhaul of historic proportions, with a full demolition, reframing of both walls and floors.
The client asked us to incorporate a closet in the adjacent bedroom for her 2-year-old daughter. We utilized the existing doorway from the bedroom to the bathroom to build a closet with shelves and rods. In order to maintain the vintage look of the home, we used the existing closet door and cut it in half to make double doors, keeping original trim the homeowner wanted.
