Renovating the worn owner’s bath of this 1950s contemporary ranch was a challenge the Renovisions team embraced fully. The biggest goal was to enlarge the bathroom while creating a functional sitting area adjacent to the owner’s bedroom.
Key design features included a pocket door that freed up space, a larger curbless shower with no door and a linear drain, heated floors with a programmable thermostat, a shower niche, and a sleek one-piece concealed trap toilet.
Clipping the corner wall near the sitting room softened the layout and improved hallway flow.
The homeowners love the custom Benjamin Moore dark blue-gray vanity with full-extension drawers and a bottom towel shelf, topped with Silestone ‘Pulsar’ quartz countertops and shelves. The 12” x 24” muted gray-blue marble-look shower tiles blend beautifully with a bright mosaic accent in the niche.
Replacing the older windows brought more natural light into both the bath and sitting room. With spa-worthy style and smart use of space, this Renovision truly delights its owners.
