We recently partnered with a father-daughter team to remodel a full bath in their 1940s seaside home, blending multigenerational tastes with safety, low-maintenance materials, and timeless design.
The main challenge was creating a more spacious shower within tight constraints. The original shower felt like a “phone booth” with a narrow 26” glass door. By removing two walls—one replaced with a half wall—and extending the glass enclosure to the outer edge, we gained roughly 4” in two directions for a much roomier shower.
A custom frameless glass enclosure floods the space with natural light from an adjacent window and showcases elegant grey, marble-look large-format tiles paired with charming grey octagon floor tiles. A wave-patterned shower niche offers practical storage, and a corner toilet improves flow and accessibility.
The result is a bright, functional bath that suits all generations beautifully.
