In this 1721 antique home, the second of three outdated 1970s-era bathrooms was transformed from dark and inefficient to bright, functional, and welcoming. The original layout felt cramped, and poor ventilation added to the discomfort.
Renovisions overcame two key challenges: navigating the tight, crooked attic to add exterior ventilation, and safely replacing a deteriorated cast iron vent pipe running through the home with modern PVC—preserving the integrity of the structure.
The reimagined space now features a streamlined walk-in shower with a half wall and custom 3/8″ frameless glass enclosure, improving both light and flow without removing major walls.
White penny floor tiles and wavy 3″ x 6″ white subway wall tiles create a timeless, vintage-inspired design. Thoughtful use of scale, pattern, and texture enhances brightness and visual interest, especially when illuminated.
What was once a dark and dated guest bath is now an open, airy retreat—both beautiful and comfortable for visiting guests.
