Great Design & Build at Your Service
The result with this kitchen project was a stunning transformation.
From the onset, the client approached Renovisions to create a solution to either remove the existing beam or hide it somehow. The client did not like the way the dark wood beam closed off the space. He wanted a more open feel to the new basement kitchen and requested brighter and lighter products and materials.
Renovisions reconfigured the existing steel I-beam up into the ceiling. It was necessary to drill holes through the beam, enabling the heat pipe to go through, so the beam could be pushed up into the space.

Beautiful new red oak flooring was installed throughout the kitchen and warms up the room.
The client was pleased with the combination of the soft putty color cabinetry and the way the gray-ivory movements of Cambria’s Summerhill quartz countertops incorporate shimmer and sparkle, with jewel-like particles. Adding to the pièce de resistance was the unique subway wall tile not only because of its wavy design but how beautiful the undercabinet lighting reflects off it. The transitional style pendant lights are perfect for over the island as they provide plenty of light when needed.
At the end of the project, we recommended adding two pine wood floating shelves which were stained to match the trim in the kitchen. The client is happy to showcase his colorful family heirloom glassware.
Overall, the client is thrilled with the result and loves to show off the timeless elegance of his new kitchen to his family and friends.
