Artistic Approach

Downsizing and relocating from a larger property in California to this small (800 square foot) condo felt like the right fit if the customizations were made that reflected her personality while incorporating coastal elements. Designing comfortable living and a relaxed environment for entertainment was top of mind.

Kudos, porcelain 12 x 24” tile provides a no-maintenance property yet boasts a soft blend of blues, and grays matching the feel you get at oceanside. The warm wood living room floors provide a warm contrast to the 2-tone marine blue and white kitchen cabinetry to tie in the blue hue, the quartz countertops with blue veining were a perfect choice.

The kitchen had plenty of functional storage including a custom pull-out next to the refrigerator. By eliminating a corner wall cabinet that allowed for a blue pendent light fixture that provides additional ambient light and serves as a decorative piece. The corner stainless steel sink was necessary to accommodate additional cabinetry and countertop space for prep in clients day-to-day. By increasing the size by 8” and adding radius countertops, our client can sit with friends who visit and marvel at the beautiful space. Wide drawers are convenient to store plates, pots and pans. Our client found matching blue small countertop appliances that provide additional “eye-candy” when entering the space.
