To accommodate a growing family and a love for cooking, these homeowners needed a larger, more functional kitchen. Having worked with Renovisions on past projects, they once again turned to Cathy and Ed for a full redesign.
By borrowing space from the dining room, we have created an open floor plan with improved workflow and a new eat-in area perfect for their young children. White painted cabinetry offers ample storage with deep drawers, a pull-out trash unit, and elegant glass mullion doors. Sleek stainless appliances, including a slim Miele hood and diamond-patterned backsplash, add a refined contemporary touch.
The dark wood island features white marble-look quartz, contrasting beautifully with soapstone countertops and veining throughout the rest of the kitchen. Warm hardwood flooring grounds the space, balancing the crisp white cabinetry.
With natural light from the original dining room windows and views of the garden, this bright, welcoming kitchen now matches the homeowner’s culinary talents and growing family needs.
“We’ve been enjoying our new kitchen for 4 months now and cannot thank Cathy and Ed enough for completing our dream kitchen for us. Our kitchen remodel was the second project that Cathy and Ed have done for us and both times they exceeded our expectations. From the beginning stages of the one-on-one design services, through our countless change requests and additions to the original scope of work, to the finishing details like painting the screws on the custom cabinets to make sure they blend perfectly, Ed and Cathy never failed to impress. They were consistently attentive, patient, supportive and dedicated to making our vision a reality.
Cathy and Ed are two of the few people left that truly care about their work and clients as evidenced by Cathy driving me to look through 10 slabs of soapstone at 4 PM on a Friday night – talk about dedication! When it comes time for the next remodeling project, there’s no doubt we’ll call on Renovisions for help.”
