These Hanover, MA homeowners enlisted Renovisions to expand and modernize their small, outdated 1980s colonial kitchen. We designed a 12’x15’ addition, increasing the kitchen size to 21’x15’, overcoming structural challenges posed by ledge stone with reinforced concrete supports.
The new layout combines style and function, creating a spacious, well-lit kitchen perfect for cooking, gathering, and entertaining. The bump-out added room for more cabinetry and a dining table, replacing the cramped corner setup. A wide-open flow connects the kitchen to the living room and a 5’ French door leads to the pool deck, where a new covered roof extends the outdoor entertaining space.The dark cocoa-colored island, topped with natural Cambria quartz, is a striking centerpiece with deep drawers for ample storage and generous prep space.

We recently hosted a retirement party for 70 people and it never felt crowded! We relax under the covered porch in the morning for coffee, the afternoon for lunch and to watch the grandkids in the pool. And of course in the evening while we read or catch up on emails.
