At the heart of the discussion was creating a master bath that offered something different – “a design that included his and hers vanities, a walk-in shower, a changing area and an expanded closet steps from the master bedroom.
Their home was built and decorated in a traditional style, however, this time they wanted something more transitional with pops of contemporary touches. At our showroom, the clients were drawn to a beautiful shade of blue with onyx glaze for the vanities, which provides a nice to the Cambria’s ___ countertops. They selected a 12” x 24” porcelain floor tile that resembles a neutral-hued limestone and plays off the darker blue-gray slate-look shower walls and dramatic white and grey tones of the pebble shower floor and niche on (back wall).
Renovisions collaborated with the homeowner and their architect to address required structural supports necessary in this new expanded design. Challenges presented in the form of new beams in attic, relocated attic staircase, fixing hump in floor and squeaky floor joists. Opened floor joists to accommodate new configuration of plumbing fixtures. At one point, we encouraged several mice nests which resulted in removal and replacing of additional plywood while exterminators were called in to treat affected areas.
Design features: pocket doors, heated floor, radiator panel, floating vanities with rectangular vessel sinks, ceiling mounted rain shower with additional shower head mounted.
